What is a Server?

A server is a centeralized computer dedicated to the storage of network resources. Servers usually contain an operating system like Server 2003 Small Business Edition. It is a computer that is not used like a desktop computer, where you sit down and do all your work. It's specifically used for storing network resources like:

Scanners

Copiers

This allows everybody in the network to gain access to the resources stored on the server.
